What can you expect?
This magical encounter at Dolphin Academy begins at either 8:30, 11:00, and 14:00. While standing in waist-deep water you will be able to gently pet a dolphin who will then give you a kiss and a handshake. The trainer will teach you all about dolphins, their body parts, and their behaviors. After the information about dolphins you will continue with interactive program in the water that takes about 20 minutes. Prior to the program, you will receive instructions from the dolphin trainers. After the encounter, we advise that you stay and walk around in the Sea Aquarium. You can learn more about Curacao fascinating sea life, feed the nurse sharks, feed the flamingos and watch the sea lions steal the show! A great day out for the family.

Meeting & Pick up:

What to bring:

Know before you go:
- Entrance to the Sea Aquarium is included for participants
- Babies up to and including 11 months of age are free of charge
- Children ages 1 – 4 get a special price of $65
- Toddlers and babies must be held by their parents
- Children below a height of 1.30 m (4.27 ft) must be accompanied by a paying adult
- For each child under 1.30 m (4.27 ft), there must be one paying adult present
- Please arrive fifteen minutes before the program begins
- This activity is safe for pregnant women
- Family and friends are more than welcome to take photographs from the observer areas
- All observers, including parents/guardians signing waivers for minors, are required to pay the entrance fee at Curacao Sea Aquarium
- After your encounter, you can visit the gift store for pictures or a nice souvenir
- There is a limit of max of 6 people, per 1 dolphin
Additional information:
- Dolphin Academy is one of the only facilities in the world that works with trained dolphins in the open sea.
- The dolphins reside on the premises of the Curacao Sea Aquarium in four primary lagoons interconnected by secondary basins and canals. The lagoons are in contact with the ocean, allowing a constant flow of fresh seawater and numerous fish and invertebrate species.
Refund and Cancellation Policy:
- A cancellation up to 24 hours prior to departure of the tour entitles the guest to a 100% refund.
- Less than 24 hours prior to departure, the guest receives no refund unless due to illness accompanied by a valid doctor's statement.
- In case of illness, only the person who is ill will receive a 100% refund. Other participants within the same booking that cancel the tour will not receive a refund unless otherwise decided by the supplier depending on the circumstances.
- No-shows, or if you miss the tour because you are too late, and cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled activity will be charged the full price.
- In case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances the tour will be rescheduled, if rescheduling is not possible or the new time is inconvenient for you, a full refund will be issued.

We did the Dolphin Swim with our 15 and 17 year old daughters. It was such a an amazing experience. My husband and I swam with dolphins on our honeymoon almost 20 years ago but the girls had never done anything like this before. They absolutely loved it. It was one of my favorite days there on the island. All of the staff were so nice and helpful.

June 2025A top tier experience we will savor for a lifetime
Wow. We had the best time. We were party of 6 and did the dolphin snorkel. It started with kisses on the cheek and holding fins, but then wow, it took a really awesome direction. We were able to pet, swim with, and dive down under the water with the dolphins. Some of us were their "favorites" and had a lot of voluntary attention from the two female dolphins. Then we did a echolocation exercise where one dolphin had suction blinders added to their eyes and they found and retrieved a triangle shaped toy one of us was holding. Then they did several rounds of jumps around our group of 6, it was absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend. We felt safe and so honored by the entire experience. We also enjoyed the aquarium, access was included, which had cool experiences including feeding and a photo op with flamingos, feeding nurse sharks, a dolphin show that was amazing, and the cool boat you can go on, go below deck and sit and observe the ocean floor.
June 2025Snorkel with dolphins - You won't regret it!
This place is awesome and definitely an unforgettable day on the island. We paid for the snorkel with the dolphins and got to see so much more. This also included the aquarium, sharks, flamingos and a dolphin show in addition to our excursion. Everything was amazing. During the swim experience our dolphin trainer was funny and friendly and he made the experience so special. I think his name was Noel? Snorkeling with dolphins was scary at first and then it was so relaxing and life changing. It was the closest I have ever been to a sea creature because normally you have to stay away from creatures. At the end you can buy a digital copy of all the professional photos for only $50 which is a deal. I highly recommend doing this experience!
