What can you expect?
Enjoy the opportunity to learn more about Bottlenose dolphins while free diving in their natural lagoon. You can free dive with the dolphins at 8:30AM and 2PM at the Dolphin Academy. The dolphins will dive down alongside you, allowing you to pet and interact with them underwater.
Additionally, you will be learning more about the dolphin’s echolocation through a fun, educational, and interactive activity! Most of the interactions will take place below the surface, so being an experienced snorkeler is considered a plus. Your time in the water is approximately 30 minutes. The whole experience will be about 1,5 hour.

Meeting & Pick up:

Know before you go:
- Entrance to the Sea Aquarium is included for participants
- Children below a height of 1.45 m (4.8 ft) must be accompanied by a paying adult
- For each child under 1.45 m (4.8 ft), there must be one paying adult present
- Please arrive fifteen minutes before the program begins
- You must be an experienced swimmer to participate
- A snorkel set and fins are mandatory and provided by Dolphin Academy
- This experience is not accessible for pregnant women
- All observers, including parents/guardians signing waivers for minors, are required to pay the entrance fee at Curacao Sea Aquarium
- After your swim, you can visit the gift store to purchase your pictures or a nice souvenir
- Family and friends are more than welcome to take photographs from our observer areas
- There is a limit of max of 6 people, per 2 dolphins
Additional information:
- Dolphin Academy is one of the only facilities in the world that works with trained dolphins in the open sea.
- The dolphins reside on the premises of the Curacao Sea Aquarium in four primary lagoons interconnected by secondary basins and canals. The lagoons are in contact with the ocean, allowing a constant flow of fresh seawater and numerous fish and invertebrate species.
Refund and Cancellation Policy:
- A cancellation up to 24 hours prior to departure of the tour entitles the guest to a 100% refund.
- Less than 24 hours prior to departure, the guest receives no refund unless due to illness accompanied by a valid doctor's statement.
- In case of illness, only the person who is ill will receive a 100% refund. Other participants within the same booking that cancel the tour will not receive a refund unless otherwise decided by the supplier depending on the circumstances.
- No-shows, or if you miss the tour because you are too late, and cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled activity will be charged the full price.
- In case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances the tour will be rescheduled, if rescheduling is not possible or the new time is inconvenient for you, a full refund will be issued.

During our cruise stop in Curaçao, we did the dolphin swim and it was absolutely incredible. We spent what felt like a generous amount of time in the water swimming and interacting with the dolphins. They were friendly and playful. The trainers were knowledgeable and attentive, providing clear guidance to ensure everyone had the best possible experience. One of the most memorable moments was toward the end, when we had the opportunity to dive with the dolphins as they swam right alongside us. Fins were provided, making it easy to move through the water, and while life jackets were available for those who needed them, even the weaker swimmers in our group felt comfortable without them thanks to the buoyancy of the saltwater. The photos taken during the experience were outstanding and available for purchase, allowing us to take home lasting memories. Admission to the aquarium was also included, which was a great added bonus and made the experience even more worthwhile. Highly recommend this experience!
