Go where very few people have ever been, and experience an unforgettable underwater adventure.

What can you expect?

Substation Curacao is the world’s most spectacular certified mini-submarine for tourists. The CuraSub descends four times a day from Bapor Kibra to unreachable depths for divers. Onboard, submarine passengers make a memorable journey to places where very few people have ever been. On the way they get to see colorful fish, corals and old shipwrecks, which are perfectly visible in the crystal clear waters that surround the island of Curacao. From inside the CuraSub passengers have a clear view with visibility of over 30 m (60 ft).

Where will this tour take you?

The Wreck Dive is a one-hour underwater journey to an abandoned wreck in the deep ocean. Together with the certified pilot, you will look for the Stella Maris wreck 135 m (450 ft.) and in the meantime you can enjoy schools of fish, different types of coral, and other rare organisms. The wreck has been there for more than 35 years and is 93 m (350 ft.) long, so that is almost 3 times as high/deep as the highest bridge on Curacao!

Don't miss out on this extraordinary experience—reserve your spot on the CuraSub today and explore the hidden depths of the ocean like never before!

I stayed at this hotel from September 12–19 during my 35th birthday trip, and overall it was a very memorable experience. The staff were kind, helpful, and accommodating from start to finish. I booked a Deluxe Ocean View room, and while it did not have an ocean view, the room itself was beautiful, spacious, and upgraded with two king-size beds. I was initially disappointed, but it quickly became a non-issue. I enjoyed spending a little time on the balcony because the beach and surroundings were so beautiful, and the room was extremely comfortable overall. The Supermarket Shuttle and Downtown Shuttle were very convenient, though I do wish the downtown shuttle ran later than 1 PM. The beach was absolutely beautiful, and I loved how close everything was. Some days it was a bit difficult to secure a cabana, but we were lucky most of the time. The on-site dining options were a bit underwhelming overall. Hemingway was decent the first night, but breakfast was not worth returning for. Nemo was fine. Chill, however, was incredible—both the food and staff were amazing. Piazza was also very good, though our pizza was unfortunately underbaked on our second visit. One suggestion for improvement would be modernizing access—having to carry a card for room entry and beach towels felt a bit outdated, and a wristband system would be much easier. Despite a few minor things, I would 1000% return, especially now that I know what to expect. Special shout-out to the front desk staff, especially Shersand—you were wonderful. Beautiful property, beautiful people, and a stay I will never forget.

I couldn't be happier with my recent stay at Lion's Dive Resort! I was there for a week in January 2026 (first time in Curacao) and loved the hotel. The staff was super friendly and kind (shout out to Peaches at the beach towel station!) They helped with every question we had from taxis to beach recommendations. The grounds are beautiful. The hotel was the first on this stretch so it has lots of great beach front, including very calm protected waters. The rooms are simple and clean with outdoor space. We only used the "relaxation" pool (not laps pool) which was very refreshing on a hot day. We ate at Piazza and Hemingway and the food was surprisingly good (we're New Yorkers and picky!) I would say the breakfast option could use more coffee/milk options and benefit from a la carte options but was convenient. There are other options nearby if you want something else. Drinks were strong and refreshing at Hemingway, Piazza, and Chill Bar. The bars can get kind of loud (alternating nights) so you may hear some music from your room in the evening but it just part of the island culture. I appreciated that all ages loved this resort. I saw older couples, young families, and other middle aged people like myself traveling there and having great vacations. I travel a lot and I genuinely loved Lion's Dive. I will definitely stay there again when I return to Curacao.

We stayed at Lions Dive Beach Club Resort with our family (two adults and two teenagers) for eight wonderful days, and everything was perfect. The hotel offers an almost private beach and is right next to Mambo Beach Boulevard, with great restaurants and shops. The on-site restaurants are excellent, with very enjoyable happy hours, delicious drinks, and fresh, flavorful smoothies. The rooms were spotless, with high-quality towels and linens, the staff was kind and welcoming, and parking made it easy to explore the island’s west side beaches. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. We truly loved our stay and highly recommend Lions Dive.

I had a great time at LionsDive. I stayed from Dec 14-22. I had a partial ocean view that overlooked Hemingway's. Sunday night's live band was a surprise but very enjoyable. I definitely jumped out of bed and danced in my room. The location is nice to be near the beach but not close to Willemstad. But I used the free shuttle one day to go to Willemstad and that was great. I had a car rental and there was lots of free parking for guests. The hotel staff were amazing. Simone who kept my room spotless and greeted me everyday. Roan, at the front desk, who welcomed me the very first day I arrived and who also saved me when my flights home were unexpectedly cancelled. He helped set me up with a new room and transportation back to the airport the next day all of which were very last minute. Eldrich who always had a smile on his face, helped me with my bags and gave me a bottle of wine for my birthday. There are countless other staff I wish I had their names that treated me with the utmost respect and care, like the beach attendants who taught me the words bon dia and dushi. I came here as a solo traveller to celebrate my birthday and had a great time. Thank you all so much!!

Its been almost 2 months since going to Curacao and my family still talks about the amazing time we had there. We loved everything about Curacao and a big reason for it was where we stayed, LionsDive Resort. I hate to write this review, just because I want to keep it a secret lol, but LionsDive is the simply the best (cue Tina Turner). Granted it was my first time in Curacao and it is the only place I've stayed at, they have set the bar quite high. The room, the staff, the service, the food, the beach, the location...everything was great. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a shared balcony. I thoroughly enjoyed having my coffee, cigars and beers outside just enjoying the amazing view. Room was very clean and spacious enough with the 2 queen beds. There was no elevator access, but the staff helped bring our luggage up on arrival and also helped bring them down during departure. Overall, I found the staff extremely nice and very helpful. From the front desk, the security, the waitstaff & cooks at the restaurants and even the towel guys; everyone was so friendly and all of them took care us in their own ways. They gave my kids so many toys and little souvenirs, it made them feel even more special. The beach was phenomenal. Crystal clear water and no waves to speak of. A little bit rocky in some areas by the shore, but if you're wearing beach shoes, its not an issue. It was great to just hang out in the water or you can snorkel. Saw plenty of fish, but no sea turtles (hint: go further north to Playa Piskado/Forti/Grote Knip to see them). The location is also clutch. LionsDive has their own beach, but its also right next to Mambo Beach. It's great just to step out of the room and have everything in walking distance. They have their own restaurants on-site, but there are also a handful of others in Mambo. It's also only a 10-15min car ride to downtown Willemstad. Would I go back to Curacao, absolutely. Would I stay at LionsDive again, without a doubt. Not only is LionsDive family friendly, but it was also affordable luxury. It may not be considered a 5-star hotel, but they are definitely a 10 in my book!
