Frequently Asked Questions
A cancellation up to 24 hours prior to departure of the tour entitles the guest to a 100% refund. Less than 24 hours prior to departure, the guest receives no refund unless due to illness accompanied by a valid doctor's statement. In case of illness, only the person who is ill will receive a 100% refund. Other participants within the same booking that cancel the tour will not receive a refund unless otherwise decided by the supplier depending on the circumstances. No-shows, or if you miss the tour because you are too late, and cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled activity will be charged the full price. In case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances the tour will be rescheduled, if rescheduling is not possible or the new time is inconvenient for you, a full refund will be issued.
For Dolphin Encounter and Dolphin Swim we follow the rule ''Children below a height of 1.30 m (4.27 ft) must be accompanied by a paying adult''. And for Dolphin Snorkel we ask that all children below a height of 1.45 m (4.8 ft) are accompanied by a paying adult.
Unfortunately, Dolphin Academy does not offer a transfer service. We ask you kindly to arrange your own transportation.
Your checklist should include a towel, dry clothing, sunscreen and a bathing suit. For the Dolphin Snorkel tour you are also allowed to bring an (underwater) camera and a mask or goggles.
Prior to the program, you will receive instructions from the dolphin trainers. After the tour, we advise that you stay and walk around in the Sea Aquarium. You can learn more about Curacao fascinating sea life, feed the nurse sharks, feed the flamingos and watch the sea lions steal the show! A great day out for the family. During the Dolphin Encounter you can get a kiss and a handshake from a dolphin! When you join the Dolphin Swim tour, the Dolphins will allow you to gently pet and interact with them as you join them in their natural lagoon. You will give them different hand signals and see how they will react. A great opportunity to touch, interact, swim, and enjoy your time with these lovable marine mammals. during the Dolphin Snorkel tour you can enjoy the opportunity to learn more about Bottlenose dolphins while free diving in their natural lagoon. The dolphins will dive down alongside you, allowing you to pet and interact with them underwater. Additionally, you will be learning more about the dolphin’s echolocation through a fun, educational, and interactive activity!

Thanks to their experience with the dolphins and the natural light in the lagoon, the photos are taken discreetly – allowing you to fully enjoy the moment. After your program, you can view all photos in the on-site photo studio and decide afterward if you’d like to purchase them. There’s no obligation. Alongside digital photos, you’ll also find optional keepsakes such as photo frames and professional videos, as well as fun printed souvenirs like t-shirts, mugs, caps, and more – perfect reminders of your dolphin experience in Curacao.
