Summary from reviews

The Jungle Experience at Amazonia in Curaçao receives mixed reviews. Visitors praise the informative and personable tour guides, the beautiful atmosphere, and the opportunity to see parrots, making it a fun activity for families and kids. The all-you-can-eat meat service is highlighted as a good value, with exceptional chicken and sausage. However, some guests complain about hidden charges for desserts and water, lack of transparency, and inconsistent service. The venue also offers a pool, hotel rooms, and animals, making it suitable for large groups and special occasions.

Our team's take

We spent the day at Amazonia with our two kids, and for $20 a ticket it beats a regular beach day: same price as an entrance fee and chair, but you get a full jungle park and a real pool. You explore at your own pace, no guide needed, and our three-year-old actually got to feed the monkeys himself. Worth it for families, and just as nice for a couple looking for something different from the beach.

Give this place a chance, they are trying their absolute best to create an excellent experience for everyone and you see it and feel it from all the staff. Don’t mind the negative bashing reviews, these are personal one sided opinions, which are respected but not fully accurate. The service from everyone was super friendly, we had Eva, she’s very sweet. I am very picky, and I know when a place is focused on good service and pleasing guests. Keep up the good work and wish you all the success!!!

Horrific experience we had this evening. We had our reservations for 5:30 and were seated promptly since there were only 2 other tables at this time. The server was going to go over the instructions, but we made her aware that we were very familiar with the process, having similar restaurants in the US, and thanked her. When I asked for tap water, she did let me know the manager doesn't allow her to serve tap water, only bottled water. This was fine, and we realize we are on Island time, things move at a slower pace, but really, it was only drinks and clearing plates and the receipt she had to handle. However, she clearly was taking care of her larger tables, once they arrived, and completely ignored ours. It wasn't until the end that she cleared our plates. Then I asked what the desert choices were that came with the unlimited meat option and she said cheesecake, tiramisu, and brownie. I asked for cheese cake, she came back to let me know they didn't have any, so I asked for tiramisu. She came back with 2 brownies, and I said it was fine, because I figured it came with the meal. We waited 20 minutes to get her attention for our receipt. Well, we got the receipt and I saw a line items for 35.00 for the 2 brownies, and when I questioned it she said they were a seperate charge. I told her she should have let me know when I asked what the choices were that came with the unlimited meat, and she said sorry. I didn't even eat 1/2 the brownie, bcs I didn't want it, then get stuck paying for it? We have been coming to Curacoa for several years, and there are so many amazing restaurants on your island, but based off our experience I would NEVER recommend your restaurant. On a better note, we tipped the guy that serves the meat. He is an amazing worker, and came to the table with a smile every single time, and clearly works his butt off! Totally turned off by this establishment.

I would not recommend this restaurant. It is not worth the significant upfront price you pay ($75CAD) for the food. The highlight was certainly all the meats you got — the chicken & sausage were exceptional. The salad bar was limited but not bad. The problem really came from the obscure rules that inhibited our experience and there was no transparency. When we arrived, there was no water. We were told we could buy water. That is an incredible concern given how much the food cost. We said its okay we have our own water then. We proceeded to put our waters on the table. This was upsetting given the price of the food, but perhaps understandable. Then 20 mins later, our server interrupts us to say that actually we can’t have our own water bottles. So the only option here is to BUY your own water. For how much the food costs (again, not worth it, its good but not that good) it was insane. They have a cool location but I will not be returning. Their treatment and lack of transparency was disappointing.

My family of 25 absolutely LOVED this place....the staff was great, food was good and the atmosphere is beautiful. Please go to Amazonia on your visit to Curaçao. Its even a pool, hotel rooms and animals on the property. Great for a family dinner, birthday and large groups. The all you can eat is really a good value.

My family and I only did the jungle experience/tour and it was great. Tour guides are most often what make or break experiences like this. We didn't eat at the restaurant (it was closed til 5) or stay at the pool. The tour was very informative and the tour guide was very personable. There were quite a few parrots and the whole thing was very fun, especially for kids.
