The park evolved since the start, and it you take your time and don't behave loudly you'll see wildlife. It's more of an awereness and concervation park than a zoo. But it's a nice change of pace and a nice walk, they are benches with shade to rest at.
The price is a bit steeper for the island, but it also goes towards preservation.
We didn't do a guided tour, but read every sign and they where informative and to the point. The lookout tower is nice too.
