Great place to learn to dive with Ken, snorkel and look for fish, and to just relax and destress. Also, best hotdogs on this end of the island!

Very nice spot, which is different from the other overly touristic beaches. The snorkeling was beautiful and the staff is very friendly and chill. You can also paint your own driftwood sign. Overall a chill place with good music, vibes and people.

Ok. The place is great but it's a shack on a small beach. It's cozy and the beer is cold. The area is known as "The Tug Boat" which is good for scuba diving and snorkeling, There is no "dive shop" there. Lots of dive schools or divers go there. Jaime the guy running the place does painting art and you can also participate with him. The underwater life is great! This is a underwater photographer must do. The pier has a drilling ship moored to it but it has been there for years. Underneath the pier the marine life is abundant on the pillars and there are currently 3 sea horses under the pier. The Tug Boat is about 300 feet from the beach, near the shoreline. One of the many coral nurseries is also there. Look but don't touch. It's a local place hidden away but you can spend a few hours there diving, snorkeling or drinking beer. Very relaxed place.

Tugboat beach is another must visit off the beaten path. The drive in to the location is a rough dirt road. The beach is a small area, decorated with a wonderful Caribbean hippie vibe. Beer and hotdogs are served by a friendly local. The scuba diving/snorkeling here was very cool in that there are live corals within an easy swim. Fun place to visit and spend a few hours. There was a large off-shore oil drilling rig docked next to the beach at the pier during our visit. It was in for maintenance. While it distracted from the natural beauty, it was very cool to see such a structure up close. Additionally, I'm amazed that the island has figured out how to drill and refine oil while keeping their natural resources protected from pollution.

The beach and the area are decent for snorkeling, and the only food available was hot dogs. However, be extremely careful—this place is a real tourist trap. They claim that only the chairs directly on the beach are charged and that the balcony chairs are free as long as you order something. They even offer to “set up a bill” for you. But when it’s time to pay, you find out they charge $12 per chair. Very dishonest and disrespectful toward tourists. They even threatened to call the police when we questioned the charges. Avoid this place entirely….
