Waar brengt deze tour je naartoe?

Uw reis begint op het Brionplein, het levendige plein in Otrobanda. Hier leert u hoe Curaçao werd ontdekt, waarom het een belangrijke basis werd voor de Nederlandse West-Indische Compagnie (WIC) en hoe het verleden van het eiland de gemeenschappen heeft gevormd die we vandaag de dag zien. Ga verder over de rustige, geplaveide paden van Kura Hulanda, waar je verhalen hoort over het erfgoed van Curaçao, de strijd voor vrijheid en de voortdurende inspanningen om het milieu van het eiland te beschermen, waaronder het verrassende verhaal van de invasieve koraalduivel. Naarmate u dieper Otrobanda ingaat, barst de stad uit zijn voegen van kleur. Deze eens zo vergeten wijk is nu een openluchtkunstmuseum vol muurschilderingen en creatieve straatkunstwerken die de lokale cultuur vieren. Onderweg kunt u bij een lokale vrouw thuis stoppen om te genieten van een zelfgemaakt Curaçaose dessert, een eenvoudig, authentiek moment dat u bij de meeste rondleidingen niet zult vinden. Steek de Queen Emma Bridge, de geliefde "Swinging Old Lady", over en geniet van het uitzicht op de iconische waterkant van de Handelskade. Het is niet voor niets een van de meest gefotografeerde plekken op het eiland. Eenmaal in Punda, de oudste wijk van Willemstad, ontdekt u bezienswaardigheden zoals het Gouverneurspaleis, de drijvende markt en Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagoge, de oudste synagoge die nog in gebruik is in Amerika. De straten hier combineren Nederlandse architectuur met Caribische charme, waardoor een unieke sfeer ontstaat die je meteen voelt. Je tour eindigt bij Wilhelmina Plein, een rustig plein dat perfect is om te ontspannen en een foto te maken met het beroemde Curaçao-bord, een laatste moment om na te denken over alles wat je hebt ontdekt.

Restitutie- en annuleringsbeleid:

Een annulering tot 24 uur voor vertrek van de tour geeft recht op 100% restitutie.
Minder dan 24 uur voor vertrek heeft de gast geen recht op restitutie, tenzij de annulering het gevolg is van ziekte en vergezeld gaat van een geldige doktersverklaring.
In geval van ziekte ontvangt alleen de persoon die ziek is 100% restitutie. Andere deelnemers binnen dezelfde boeking die de tour annuleren ontvangen geen restitutie, tenzij anders besloten door de leverancier afhankelijk van de omstandigheden.
No-shows, of als je de tour mist omdat je te laat bent, en annuleringen die minder dan 24 uur voor de geplande activiteit worden gemaakt, worden volledig in rekening gebracht.
In het geval van annulering door de organisator als gevolg van het weer of andere onvoorziene omstandigheden zal de excursie opnieuw worden gepland. Als opnieuw plannen niet mogelijk is of het nieuwe tijdstip ongelegen komt voor jou, zal een volledige terugbetaling worden gedaan.

I had an amazing 5-day stay at Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort and truly enjoyed every moment. The service throughout the hotel was consistently good, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The man-made beach was such a cute and unique touch! It was clean, relaxing, and beautifully set up. I especially loved that they offer food and drink service right on the beach, it made the experience feel even more luxurious and convenient. The towel service was seamless and appreciated as well. One of the best parts of staying here is the location. It’s within close walking distance to so many restaurants, shops, and attractions, which made exploring so easy and enjoyable. Plus, it’s not a very far drive to and from the airport, which made arrival and departure stress-free. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I’m already looking forward to staying here again the next time I return to Curaçao. The view overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea is simply world-class; it’s the perfect spot to catch a sunset with a cocktail in hand. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the extraordinary staff. They embody genuine Curaçaoan hospitality—always greeting you with a warm smile and going above and beyond to ensure every detail of your stay is perfect. Whether it was the spotless, beautifully designed rooms or the delicious breakfast with a view, everything exceeded our expectations. My friend and I stayed at the Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort from 1/22–1/25 to celebrate my 52nd birthday. Check-in was long but understandable, as staff took time to answer guests’ questions thoroughly. Our room was clean, but it had no windows and a glass panel facing a conference room, which made it noisy. Service was very inconsistent. At the pool grill/bar, we were ignored for nearly an hour and eventually left. Dinner service on night two was uncomfortable and unwelcoming, especially compared to how other guests were treated. That said, day three completely turned things around thanks to exceptional staff who truly care about guest experience. Special recognition to Roland, Miguel, Luiz, Luis, Stephen, Tyriq, Chantel, Bellsa, Rasean, Dunesca, Nassir, and Tahlia. These individuals went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and valued. If management recognizes and models the service these team members provide, this resort has the potential to be outstanding.

This resort is nice and in a nice location but make sure that if you set up a late check out, you are not charged! I was in line waiting to check out when the staff member was not at the front desk. I asked the customer in line was anyone helping her and she says the lady had walked away behind a door. When she came back out she was still assisting this customer, I was supposed to check out at 1pm. The staff member did not appear happy with whatever she was working on for the customer. By this time it is way past 1pm. A man finally came out to assist me. I looked at my bill for any additional charges but when I got home I see I was charged for checking out after 1pm. Not cool!!! We had a few other incidents but they tried to rectify the situation by upgrading our room, giving us a complimentary breakfast that was not good and some wine. What we loved: housekeeping staff, 5 O’clock Somewhere (shout out to Gili), Starbucks staff (inside hotel), the door men (especially the one with the gray beard) and the gym is awesome! Most of the front desk personnel were always nice and present but the day of check in was not good. Normally there are multiple staff up front but I don’t know why it was only one available for a period of time today.
