Shete Boka

Discover Curacao's impressive rugged north coast in Shete Boka national park, where forces of nature converge in a spectacular landscape. The park, located right next to Christoffel Park, covers more than 200 hectares and offers a series of breathtaking coves (“Bokas”) where the sea pounds against the rocks with force. It is a popular spot for nature lovers, hikers and photographers seeking Curacao's raw beauty.

One of the most iconic spots in the park is Boka Pistol, where the waves slam into a narrow opening with such force that it sounds like a cannon shot. Other highlights include Boka Tabla, where you descend stairs to a sea cave, and Boka Kalki, with a quiet sandy beach where turtles often nest. There are several hiking trails, including a short 1.5 km route and a longer 2.5 km trail that takes you past several Bokas and viewpoints.

Upon arrival, you pass the visitor center where you purchase tickets and receive information about the park. The park also has restroom facilities and a shaded terrace with seating areas to catch your breath.

What to expect:

  • Spectacular waves crashing against volcanic cliffs
